Monday, June 4, 2018 Stamford, CT USA — Greenwich Associates today announces the hiring of Ken Monahan as Senior Analyst in the Firm’s Market Structure and Technology group, where he will cover FX, listed derivatives, fixed income, and a variety of additional research topics. 

Prior to joining Greenwich Associates, Ken has been an independent market structure expert working with many of the largest market participants globally.  Ken was also with Deutsche Bank, where after starting in New York as a trader on the bank’s institutional derivatives desk, he moved into market structure, working with the International Securities Exchange (ISE) ISE to launch the first all-electronic U.S. options exchange. More recently, he worked on exchange-related projects in both developed and emerging markets. Ken started his career working on the floor of the CBOE in Chicago for Swiss Bank O’Connor’s equity options market making group. He is a graduate and an active alum of the University of Chicago.

Ken is a volunteer financial literacy tutor in the New York City public schools.  He is a past member of the Finance Committee of The Moth, a non-profit storytelling organization that produces a popular podcast. Ken also hosts his own storytelling event, The Gnat, a small scale version of The Moth.
