Tuesday, June 13, 2017 Stamford, CT USA — Javelin Strategy & Research is combining its market-leading digital banking advisory practices into a newly formed Digital Banking Unit, the company announced today.

Under its new structure, the two practices—Omni-Channel Banking and Mobile Banking—will  operate under the new names, Digital Strategy & Experience, and Mobile & Online Banking. Existing clients of both practices will continue to receive the industry’s most comprehensive advisory services on an uninterrupted basis—but will benefit from the enhanced quality and breadth of coverage of the new offerings.

The new unit will be led by Jacob Jegher, who serves as Senior Vice President, Banking, and Head of Strategy for Javelin. Jacob joined Javelin in 2016. He will assume his newly expanded role of Head of the Digital Banking unit on June 13, 2017. Jacob will also continue to lead Javelin’s Small Business Digital Banking and Payments Practice.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to head up this initiative, which will bring Javelin’s digital banking capabilities together to create new insights and make the industry’s top advisory service even more valuable to our clients,” says Jacob Jegher

Comprehensive, Research, Analysis and Advice

Javelin’s digital banking advisory practices have evolved along with the banking industry and advancements in technology.  Clients partner with Javelin for two separate services: 1) Strategic insights and advice about where to invest in digital technology and how to best deploy digital tools, and 2) Detailed analysis, benchmark data and recommendations about features and functions of the specific digital tools employed by the clients themselves and their competitors.

“Clients rely on Javelin’s research—which is based on more than 50,000 interviews every year— to inform their business decisions in an increasingly digital financial world,” says Al Pascual, Senior Vice President, Research Director and Head of Fraud & Security for Javelin. “Integrating these two practices will make our research even more effective at identifying the most important trends, opportunities and threats in digital banking.”
