Tuesday, November 29, 2016 Stamford, CT USA — USAA Investment Management and BB&T are the top performers in the second annual Greenwich Excellence Awards in Wealth Management and Personal Investment Services.
Both USAA Investment Management and BB&T were the only institutions to earn recognition in each of the four categories (Overall Satisfaction, Likelihood to Recommend, Investment Advice / Ideas, and Customer Service) tracked in the 2016 Greenwich Associates national commercial banking program.
Greenwich Excellence Awards recognize excellence among both “traditional” providers of wealth management and investment services, as well as the units of state and federally chartered banks with distinct wealth and retail investment service business lines.
“Only 12 firms, including ‘traditional’ bank units and other retail wealth and investment services providers were able to achieve superior, differentiated results — true stand-outs in a crowded field of over 150 nationally known providers,” says Greenwich Associates consultant Duncan Banfield.
As wealth management providers continue to compete to capture new client assets, the ability to deliver a differentiated level of client service has never been more challenging.
“Across the market, our research shows that average customer ratings for quality of investment advice and a willingness to recommend one’s provider have declined, and as a result, more customers have indicated that they are likely to seek a new provider,” says Banfield. “Achieving a distinguished level of service in an environment where it’s harder to impress clients is truly worthy of recognition.”
